Laura Bassi is a fee-free scholarship program for international students in Canada. Established in 2001 by then-Faculty of Education, Laval University, and the University of Toronto, it provides funding for students to attend graduate studies or professional workshops at accredited Canadian institutions. Since its inception, over 9000 students have participated and received funding from The Laura Bassi Scholarship Fund.
The objective of The grant is to provide editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed, within their disciplines. When you apply for this funding, you will be asked to provide a detailed statement on the topics you would like to cover. The value of The grants is remitted through editorial assistance as follows:
- Master’s candidates: $750
- Doctoral candidates: $2,500
- Junior academics: $500
- Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: Masters and Doctoral degree program in all subjects offered by the university.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible for the opportunity , applicants must have a previous year degree.
