With this in mind, SASSA has commenced with grant payments for August on Tuesday, 2 August. Here’s the month’s schedule for Sassa grants:

    • This includes any grants linked to this account
  • Disability grant: 3 August
    • This includes any grants linked to this account
  • Rest of the Sassa grants: 4 August

However, the payment dates above do not include R350 grant payments as there are no fixed payment dates for that grant. Beneficiaries should check the Sassa SRD website or wait for an SMS to know when to collect their grant money.

Unfortunately, Sassa beneficiaries can no longer collect their grants at Post Offices and are urged to collect at alternative points.

t for SASSA has made the following clear to beneficiaries, “there is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day” and continued to say that once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.

SASSA advises beneficiaries to be cautious and vigilant when using their PINs and not to share their PINs with anybody, not even family members. This is as perpetrators are always looking to take advantage of vulnerable individuals.
