The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has released the payment dates for its social grants. Following this announcement some Sassa applicants will wondering whether they can receive their SRD grant payment for September through the Moya app or not?

These payment dates do not include the Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.

Sassa has announced that SRD grant payments will be paid to beneficiaries on 1 September, 2 September and 3 September.

Checking Your Sassa Status with Sassa App/Moya App

1. Download the Moya App from the Google Play or Huawei AppGallery
2. Go to Discovery and select the SASSA Grant
3. Navigate down  to the Check SASSA SRD status
4. Click the “Application Status” button
5. Enter your ID number and cell phone number
6. Click the Submit button
7. It should then show your SASSA status
