2. You’ll see a login page prompting you to check your Sassa status.
3. Enter your ID Number.
4. Next, enter your Phone number.
5. Click the “CHECK NOW” button.
6. You’re in! You’ll see your SRD R350 grant application status.

Did you know that you can also check your SASSA approval status on WhatsApp. Below are the instructions on how to check Sassa status on WhatsApp.

1. Send the word “Sassa” to the Sassa WhatsApp application number – 082 046 8553.
2. Reply with the text “Status.“
3. Reply “Yes” if you have a reference number.
4. Next, reply with the phone number you used during your Sassa application.
5. Finally, reply with your reference number.
6. Your application status will show.

You can check your SASSA balance via your phone. To do this, 

1. Dial *120*3210# on your phone.
2. Follow the prompts.

If the above USSD code and balance check do not work, then try the following:

1. Dial *120*69277# on your phone.
2. Follow each step.
3. You will get an SMS notification.

SASSA R350 grant payment dates for October

SASSA payment is on monthly basis and older people’s grants will be paid from October 3, 2022. Disability grants will be paid from October 5, 2022. All other grants will be paid to start from Monday.

Older Persons Grant – Monday 3 October 

Disability Grant – Tuesday 4 October 

Children’s Grants – Wednesday 5 October
