How To Submit Your SRD Grant Banking Details

In this article, we’ll show you how you can submit your srd.sassa.gov.za banking details and the process you would go through with the SRD grant bank details.

Do not make the mistake of not providing the correct banking details. In order to receive your SRD R350 grant money, you need to provide the correct bank details (e.g. Bank Name and IBAN).

As a result of early problems with bank details, there were initially some fairly significant delays of grant payment due to problems with bank details.

SASSA has finally made a statement about how the new SARD funding will work. Remember to be very careful when submitting bank details, and make sure you only provide your information to the SASSA website.

How To Submit Your SRD Grant Banking Details

If you have already submitted your application, you can update any banking details which may have been initially provided incorrectly on the SRD website and/or alter their responses to the screening questions asked in their application.

This can be done by following the below instructions:

  1. Access the SRD website at srd.sassa.gov.za.
  2. Scroll down to the “How do I change my banking details” section
  3. Enter your ID number
  4. An SMS / Text message containing the sassa banking details link will be sent to the mobile phone number used when registering for the SRD application.
  5. Open the banking details link in the SMS and follow the instructions.

Outside of bank accounts owned by SASSA, no one else can access your funds. In the event that you are unsure as to whether or not you have access to your own account, please contact SASSA using the form below and we will confirm who has access to your grant.

Selecting the money transfer option via a major bank will ensure that the funds are correctly transferred and that they are received in full by SASSA. If you do not register your mobile phone number in your name, SASSA cannot pay you. You may have used this information for another person before, so please make sure that it is registered before clicking the money transfer button.
