Sassa Status Check
Please read today’s article if your Sassa payment for r350 has not yet been sent to you since you were approved some months ago.
There are many reasons why a payment may be delayed or not received but it also can depend on what region of South Africa you are from and which bank or agency pays your stipend.
There are several reasons why your Sassa SRD R350 grant may not have been paid, but here are the most common ones:
Reason 1 – Sometimes when people register for the r350 payment date their banking details may not match, a factor leading to failed transactions. For instance, your bank account name may be Charles McCarthy but your name on the r350 banking details you provided during registration is Alice Cindy McCarthy. This causes a mismatch between the names and will result in unsuccessful transactions. To solve this problem, ensure that both the names match all information provided by you.
Reason 2 – Sassa has not made the money available to your bank or the post office. If this is the situation for you then there is not much you can do as you will only receive the money when Sassa sends it to you through one of these options: Bank Transfer Cash Send Post Office.
Reason 3 – The Sassa makes sure beneficiaries receive their grants on the 15th of the month. Sassa said, “If you are approved with no pay date it means payment has not been processed as yet, however, payment will be processed soon”. 14 million people applied for the SRD grant since it was reintroduced in August 2021, this means paying out all the applicants each month may have some delays.
Why Sassa status is approved but no payday?
Recently, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) announced,
If your application is approved with no pay date it means payment has not been processed as yet,”
Therefore, if you do not receive your SASSA profile in the first week, do not panic! Please be patient and keep an eye on your SASSA profile as it will be updated regularly. Just remember there is no fixed payment date for the Special COVID-19 SRD grant.
What does Approved mean on Sassa status?
Congratulations! Your grant status says ‘August Approved’, which means that your SRD grant application was successful for the August period.
SASSA advises clients whose grant applications have been approved to check the pay day field for a date when you can collect their money. You will need to wait for an SMS before collecting your money.
