Winter Intercession and Spring 2022 courses were created in Blackboard in early November 2021. A Blackboard course shell is automatically created for every CUNY course based on CUNYfirst data. The Blackboard course shell has been designed so that most of the information that instructors enter for their courses can be accessed from their Blackboard courses at any time. Another feature of the Blackboard course shell is that you can upload your syllabus, notes, and lecture materials to the site so that students can access your work anytime they need it during Open Access periods.

As of December 31, 2021, CUNY CIS migrated to Blackboard SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), which includes a cloud computing environment. To help you get started on the new Blackboard platform and adapt to this change, we’ve created this blog post along with an informative CUNY Blackboard Community website.
