The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has introduced the SASSA GovChat App to assist with the Special COVID-19 Social Relief of distress (SRD) grant. Through the GovChat app, applicants can check their Sassa R350 grant application status. Once you’re logged in, you will see a SASSA Services tab as displayed in the below photo. To register visit www.govchat.org.za.

How to register on GovChat

• Visit www.govchat.org.za and click on the registration tab.
• Fill in your preferred account details and create a secure password that you will remember
• Set up your profile and state your location
• Set your membership type
• Agree to the terms and conditions and click on ‘Complete Sign Up’.

You will receive an ac6va6on email. Follow the prompts to activate your account and join the conversation.
