If you were not approved for NSFAS funding, it is important to know that there are other financial aid options available.

When applying for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all requirements are met before submitting. Unfortunately, not everyone will be approved, so those students can submit an appeal in order to receive funding.

Students will be required to submit all the necessary supporting documentation to substantiate their appeal. If you want to appeal your NSFAS 2022 funding, please submit the following documents with your application:

  • Medical certificate
  • Death certificate of an immediate family member
