Sassa Status Check 2022 – There are several methods you can use to verify and receive your R350 social grant payments. Find out how to check your SASSA status on the Moya app. You can also use your mobile phone to check Sassa’s status via SMS or WhatsApp.

The special Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) OF Sassa R350 was introduced by the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa to be given to citizens who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) already provided R350 grants to some older people, foster children, and child support.

But President Ramaphosa started the social relief of distress award due to the National State of Distress he announced.

Visit sassa.gov.za and follow the instructions to submit an SRD application. Enter the one-time pin that SASSA has sent to the number after clicking the “send SMS” button.

How to check your Sassa Status

Grant applicants can also check the current SRD grant application status on SASSA’s official website at srd.sassa.gov.za.

1. Navigate to the  SRD grant application status on the official SASSA website using the online dashboard link here: https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status
2. Enter your South African ID number of Applicant
3. Enter the phone number you used to submit the application

Meanwhile, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) increased the grant payments in October 2022. Beneficiaries of the R350 SRD grant are pleased to know that the R350 grant has been extended for another year. The agency increased the grant by R10 and it started in October.
