Students are hereby invited to submit online applications for the 2023 Central Johannesburg College TVET College (CJC) which are now open. The College has a proud history and a strong known reputation for providing quality TVET education for citizens in the area. The College is one of 50 public TVET colleges in South Africa operating under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). There are eight TVET colleges in Gauteng.

On the 11th of September 2003, central Johannesburg TVET College was established when the late Minister Prof. Kadar Asmal launched the landscape for FET at our Alexandra campus.

The College has eight campuses: Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Smit Street and Trouville. The seven campuses are spread within a radius of approximately 10km from the College’s Central Office in Parktown.

The college has also collaborated with Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) to offer programmes accredited and quality assured by the relevant SETA Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) unit.

Some nationally accredited programmes offered by CJC are; National Technical Education (NATED) and National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V). Meanwhile, These programmes are quality assured by Umalusi, the Coucil for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training, to ensure a national standard.

Engineering Studies, Business Studies and Humanities are all programmes offered by the college.
