What Your SPU Application Status Means

  • Firm Offer

Congratulations on your acceptance to study for the programme you applied for! Please remember that you can only be accepted for one programme.

  • Waitlisted

Your application will be assessed and a final decision will be made if space is available. You will receive an email/SMS indicating the outcome; please do not contact the University.

  • Unsuccessful

We regret to inform you that there has been a problem with your application. You did not meet the minimum admission requirements for this programme. Unfortunately, you did not qualify for entry to this academic year’s intake.

Once your Matric results have been received, SPU will send you an email/SMS to confirm your application status.

If you haven’t received any response on your application from the Admissions office by 5 March, you should then send an email to applications@spu.ac.za for help.

SPU is currently not able to assist with face-to-face enquiries. You are urged not to come to the University to verify your status or submit your final results.
