Following the new regulation, SRD Beneficiaries had to reapply and make sure they met the new criteria of having a monthly threshold of R350. To know whether or not the agency to continue issuing payment of the SRD grant to beneficiaries, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has a process in place to help them. However, applicants must first reconfirm their existing R350 grant application before Sassa will be able to do this. You can’t reconfirm your R350 grant application without visiting the SRD website.

Once every month, Sassa expects applicants for SRD R350 grants to reconfirm their applications. In view of the new regulations, this will inform the agency that the applicant still needs and qualifies for the SRD grant.
