SASSA cannot pay your grant into another person’s bank account. Should you select the money transfer option via one of the major banks, please ensure that the mobile phone number on which you received the SMS is registered in your name. SASSA cannot pay your grant into a mobile phone number which is registered to another person.

SASSA can only pay grants into your own bank account. If you select any other option, then SASSA will use an agent to collect your payment from the selected agent location, who will then deposit the money into their own bank account. This means that it will take longer for you to get your money.

SASSA cannot pay your grant into an account set up by another person or organisation such as school fees accounts, funeral policies etcetera.
