The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant)  is a grant which is given to individuals who reside in South Africa as well as Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders between the ages of 18 to 60 years of age.

The grant seeks to help individuals with income that can enable them to attend their day to day activities and lifestyle with ease.

SRD Grants are also given to individuals who are not contributing to or eligible for UIF payment, and have no financial support from any other source.

Can One Reapply for SRD Grant Extension

Yes, individuals can reapply for the SRD Grant extension at least once every three months and must do so by updating their details on the regular basis to avoid payment delays.
