Intermediate / Snr  Software Developer 

The software developer will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and supporting new and updated software programs. Typically sitting within the IT team of a business, you will be involved in liaising with the Business Analysts, team leads/architect to ensure software projects meet requirements.

Typical work activities include consulting with clients, writing code, solving compatibility issues, updating development process records, eliminating technical problems, collaborating with the development team and provide technical support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meeting with development team leads to discuss software projects.
• Designing new software programs, websites, and applications.
• Writing advanced production ready code.
• Reviewing updated software systems.
• Managing own timelines and tasks.
• Writing development reports.
• Creating technical documents for software programs.
• Understand software solution architecture design and translate into technical artefacts
• Provide technical support on client-based solutions
• Stay on the leading edge of development practises

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering or equivalent.

Certifications:

• Microsoft Developer Azure Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate (SQL certifications have all been retired)
• TOGAF foundation certifications is added advantage

• 4 – 7 Years’ experience as software developer with understanding of Agile scrum development methodology
• Good Knowledge of application design patterns e.g., dependency injection, command query responsibility segregation (CQRS), domain driven design,
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft development stack technologies namely, C#, .net Core, MVC, Worker service and front-end development tools – HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript. Etc…

• Other JavaScript front-end framework will be advantageous e.g., React, Angular
• Must be familiar with integration frameworks – REST, SOAP, WCF
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps for source control, continuous integration, and delivery
• Extensive experience in database modelling, design, reporting using SQL Server Database, SQL Reporting Services and Power BI
• Familiar with Windows operating system, Active Directory Services, Internet Information Services (IIS) web server
• Technical specification documentation
• Azure cloud development knowledge will be advantageous
