How To Check Standard Bank Balance on Phone

To be able to check your Standard Bank balance without using the app, you must first enroll in Mobile Banking (if you haven’t already).

Dial the USSD code *120*2345# on your phone and follow the registration instructions. To complete the hassle-free registration process, you will need to provide your card number, PIN, and ID number.

Once registered, you can access your mobile banking and check your balance by dialing the USSD code *120*2345# or *130*2345# and selecting the balance option.

Balance inquiries are free of charge. “Your cellphone service provider will charge for the amount of information sent to and from your cellphone. These charges are usually low, but are set by your network,” Standard Bank however advises.

Always remember to log out of your Mobile Banking profile after completing a request or transaction. Also, protect your phone with a strong PIN or password.

Use other options

Another convenient option for checking account balances that don’t require an app is the internet or online banking. You can register with Standard Bank’s online banking site, access your account, and view your balance on your profile.

Please have your ID or passport ready. Also, be sure to enter your mobile phone number as you will receive a one-time PIN via SMS to log into your activated profile or make transactions.

A third option is phone banking. This is an automated service that allows customers to trade on their accounts by calling them from their mobile phones and following the instructions. To register or transact, call 0860 123 108 Monday through Friday from 8 am to 9 pm or on weekends and holidays from 8 am to 4 pm.

A fourth option is a good old ATM. Take your card to the nearest machine, insert it and enter your PIN. Your balance will be displayed on the screen.

That’s all, there are several ways to check your balance without using the app. Whichever option you choose, you’ll keep your login information private and your account secure.
