The agency made payment of the grant on Monday, July 4, 2022, beginning with the Old Age Pension grant, but the South African Post Office (SAPO) has stopped paying SRD R350 grants from its branches.

Also, the SRD R350 grant re-application process also gives the applicant the option to receive their payment from Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Checker, Boxer, or Usave merchant.

if in case you’ve already reapplied for the Sassa SRD grant, you still have the chance to select your mode of receiving your social grant payment either through Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Boxer, Usave merchant, or Checker. All you need to do is log onto srd.sassa.gov.za and reply to the security SMS message you receive on your phone. You can then submit your updated application after including the merchant.
