Tuskegee NEXT Fellowship Program Application 2023

The Tuskegee NEXT Fellowship Program Application Deadline is December 31. Honoring the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, Tuskegee NEXT seeks to transform the lives of under-represented youth through aviation education and career path opportunities, so they can transform their communities.

Tuskegee NEXT provides a clear path toward aviation careers through flight training, role models, life skills, and educational assistance.

Building on Tuskegee Next’s Summer Aviation program, the Fellowship program is a two-week immersion experience to help them prepare for professional and personal opportunities. Participants will live in dormitories and attend daily programs including classroom training, simulators, flight training, and life skill courses. You will also have the opportunity to mentor Tuskegee NEXT Summer Aviation Program cadets. This opportunity may include a one-week externship in addition to the two-week immersion program.

Physical Condition

All applicants must:

  • Provide current medical status based on FAA & ADA standards;

  • Disclose all current medications and prior medical procedures, which must not disqualify such applicant according to FAA and ADA standards;

  • Have a current FAA medical exam.

Selected Fellows are required to:

  • Complete any additional application requirements (e.g., essay or interview);

  • Agree to abide by the Tuskegee NEXT Code of Conduct & Sexual Misconduct Waiver.

Tuskegee NEXT Fellowship Dates:

The Tuskegee NEXT Foundation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes in accordance with §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue law). More specifically, the corporation is organized: (i) to assist minority, at-risk, Chicago-area youth with obtaining their pilot’s license; (ii) to conduct programs for charitable purposes; and (iii) to educate minority, at-risk, Chicago-area youth in the aerospace industry through various educational initiatives, life skills, mentorship collaborations and formal flight training programs in a charitable manner.

Tuskegee NEXT is recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit charitable organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your gift to Tuskegee NEXT is fully deductible for federal income tax purposes.
