Millions of beneficiaries of the Sassa R350 grant have been approved but no payment has been made to their bank details yet. This has become a worry to all Sassa applicants as they don’t know why their SRD grant not has been paid or approved by the agency. The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) was introduced by the government of South Africa to financially support unemployed citizens who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 outbreak which forced many businesses to collapse.

Now, more than 7 million people have been approved for payment of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant according to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA).

If your SAR R350 grant status says ‘approved’ but with no pay date, please exercise patience. This is a common error and it will be rectified as soon as possible.

If you see that your srd R350 grant status says approved, it means that your application was received and is being processed. This does not mean that you will get paid right away. If a pay date has been set, that is the date when we expect to pay you. Once that day comes and payment has not been sent out yet, please contact us so that we can investigate what happened.
