The University of the Witwatersrand is one of the best age old universities in South Africa. WITS Admission List or WITS Application Status for the 2022/2023 academic session and Admission letter as well as the link (self-service.wits.ac.za) to check it.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR UNIVERSITY OF THE WITWATERSRAND APPLICATION STATUS 

  1. Go to the WITS Application status Portal via: https://self-service.wits.ac.za
  2. Log in with your Application Details, i.e Your username and password or index number.
  3. Applicants – Your Password is your date of birth in (YYMMDD) format eg. 861224
  4. Navigate to the Admission Letter section to download and print your admission letter.

Can I apply twice at wits?

To apply online, go to www.wits.ac.za/applications/ You may apply for a maximum of three programmes (order of choice does not matter). Apply using your names as they appear on your ID book/card or passport (do not use initials or nicknames).

What APS score is needed for teaching at Wits?

31-35 APS points

Applicants with an entry requirement of at least 31-35 APS points are wait-listed, subject to place availability.

What APS score do you need to get into Wits?

29-33

Applicants must complete a written and graphic exercise and may be required to attend an interview. Following an interview, applicants with a Wits APS of 29-33 may be accepted on the basis of exceptional scores.

Does Wits accept NSFAS?

Wits University is a public university and therefore, its students are funded by NSFAS. Student funding varies from institution to institution, and Wits in particular has its own rules and guidelines for the NSFAS bursary
