myKU Login – myKU Portal

The free KU email account is provided to students, faculty and staff of The University of Kansas. If you haven’t yet created a KU Online ID, you can set one up while creating your email account. Simply click the “Create Account” button and follow the prompts to complete setup of your KU email account.

How long do I keep my KU email after leaving the university?

Students and faculty lose access to their KU email 210 days after leaving the university. As a student, you can keep your email address forever! Unclassified Professional Staff (UPS) and University Support Staff (USS) lose access immediately after leaving the university.

KU Email is the official email account provided through the university to all students and employees. For this reason, we recommend using KU email for all university related purposes.

Can I change my KU email address?

When you set up your KU Online ID, your default email address is automatically created and looks something like “a123b456@ku.edu.” If you prefer a custom email address that is easier to remember (we call it an “alias”), you can change your email address at MyIdentity Services.

Checking Your KU Email
