Nelson Mandela University (NMU) has released a late application for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2023. The NMU late online application can be accessed via www.NMU.ac.za. This page contains a breakdown on how to apply to the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) Late Application.

Applicants are reminded that the NSFAS online application system opens on 1 August and closes on 30 November 2021. All applicants who need financial assistance must submit their applications through this system.

How to Apply to NMU using the Late Application

Things to note before applying online to NMU:

  1. You’ll need an email address to complete the application. Don’t have one? Get an email address first.
  2. South African applicants will need an ID number.  Foreign applicants will need their passport number.
  3. You will need to have registered for the NBTs before applying online.
  4. You will need to pay an application fee.
  5. Need accommodation?  Make sure you mark this on your application form.
  6. Remember to check faculty-specific requirements before applying.
  7. Please note: Postgraduate applicants can only apply online.

Undergraduate Certificate Study

To confirm eligibility for admission to undergraduate certificate study, applicants must consult the Admissions Office or the Faculty concerned.

Undergraduate Diploma Study

The minimum requirement for admission to undergraduate diploma study is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) as certified by Umalusi with an achievement rating of 3 (Moderate Achievement, 40-49%) or better in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects.
