UNISA Application Closing Date

This is a season of celebration, but remember that many institutions of higher learning will close while their staff enjoy the end-of-year holidays. Unisa will not be able to assist prospective students with their queries on the institution, and may lead them to take up courses at other institutions. University of South Africa (Unisa) will close on Wednesday 21 December 2022 for the festive season holidays. The institution will reopen during the first week of January 2023 after a short break.

When it comes to the festive season, we all have expectations of unwinding and enjoying the festive season with family. Unisa has wished its entire community well during this festive season and beyond. The institution encouraged all of its community members to use the holiday period to rest and recharge so that they all return re-energised in the new year.

Unisa is one of the top universities in South Africa, and their applications are easy to complete on their website. Prospective students can apply for the 2023 academic year at Unisa now. There is however a limited time available to them for completing their application.

Prospective students can apply for Unisa Short Learning Programmes (SLP) at the university until 28 February 2023, giving prospective students just over two months to submit their applications.

Applications for admission to master’s and doctoral qualifications at Unisa have been extended. Applicants may only apply for one qualification at the masters and doctoral level at Unisa.

Applicants applying for admission to a Graduate School of Business Leadership (GSBL) qualification must apply for a student number at Unisa and complete the online application process.

Registration for semester modules for undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas at Unisa will be open from 9 January to 3 February 2023. Unisa will resume all operations when they reopen on Thursday 5 January 2023.
