Sassa R350 Grant Payment Dates 2022-23

If your application for the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is still in progress, this means that the Department of Social Development (DSD) has not yet been able to process it. In case you have submitted an application for this grant, it is important to note that there are valid reasons for the delay. Due to a technical problem at the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa), we have experienced some delays processing your Sassa R350 grant payments.

Have you ever wondered why it takes so long to recieve your Sassa R350 grant payment or any response on the progress of your related application this recent month?

According to the South African Social Security (Sassa), this is due to the fact that April and May applications and payments are behind schedule.

Sassa has acknowledged the backlog of May and April applications. The agency stated that it will deal with them through a project, but it has still yet to start working on those applications.

If you find that your payment has been delayed because Sassa needs to verify the bank information, this means that the data submitted could be inaccurate. If your bank account has been changed without informing Sassa, this also causes a delay in payment processing.

If you have been waiting a long time and Sassa has not made contact, see if they attempted to contact you. They will call R350 grant recipients to obtain accurate information. You can also call the Sassa call centre or update your bank information on the Sassa Srd website if you need assistance with your delayed grant payment.

If you are receiving a delay message when submitting your appeal payment and do not have a payment method or payment information on file at this time, you should visit the SRD website, adjust your payment information, and submit another payment.
