Sassa R350 Grant

The Sassa R350 Grant is a government grant that helps with the cost of living for elderly people aged 60 years and older. You can apply for this grant if you’re over 60, unemployed and have an income below R350 per month.

To qualify for this grant, your monthly income must be less than R350 per month (before taxes). The amount paid depends on what kind of accommodation you have:

  • Single person households – R200 per month
  • Married couples without children – R300 per month
  • Married couples with children – R400 per month
